Is it just me?

No darling it is everyone. Truth be told if they are willing to admit it, you will encounter failures, death of love ones and devastations. Failures on various levels from loss of jobs, financial mishaps, and loss of relationships. I have lost jobs and made careless choices that affected my finances and relationships. It’s amazing that in life we shy away from acknowledging failures although we learn from them. I held myself captive for years because of failures in my life regardless if the failures were self-inflicted or inflicted by others. Which only wasted a lot of time and energy that could have been used to resolve and prevent the failures from happening in the future.

The statement “living and learning” seems to be just that according to some. No one is born with all the knowledge to live a perfect life without mistakes. Either your parents or whoever raises you prepares you for life. Inform you that in life some win, and some lose. Unfortunately, school has messed up many people with “everybody gets a trophy” mentality. Either you are 1st or last the rest doesn’t really matter. Apologies beloveds but everyone is a winner in their mother’s eyes.

This week blog reminds me of a poem written by Robert Frost, “The Road Not Taken” I only referenced the last stanzas:

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

Meaning that regardless of the choice of which road you take really does not matter

because the wear on either road is the wear is similar on both.
